So you thought Record Store Day was over? You’re kind of right, apart from the fact we have a 4th Day of special release vinyl with the RSD Black Friday event.
Even though it’s been a crazy year with Covid, We’ve actually had the most ‘Record Store Days’ within a one year period. The event was split up between three separate days over 3 months called ‘RSD Drops’ to help with social distancing and online ordering during the pandemic.
It was a huge success which helped keep some of our favourite independent record stores alive during this difficult time, and now we have one further record-fuelled day to look forward to – RSD Black Friday.
The event will take place on Friday 27th November and feature another 78 records for you to pick up to satisfy your vinyl needs. The list includes releases from the likes of Alice In Chains, Beastie Boys, David Gilmour, George Harrison, Jarvis Cocker, Lou Reed, Norah Jones, and many more.
Due to the impending UK lockdown which has been touted for at least a month, vinyl lovers are likely to be purchasing their records for the event from independent record store websites. Be sure to check their websites to see how the event will be taking place online to avoid any disappointment.
If you’re in the market for a new record player or any vinyl accessories, it might also be worth keeping an eye out on Amazon as part of their Black Friday deals (27th November), and also their cyber Monday event (30th November). There’s bound to be a few turntables knocking about, as well as kit such as speakers and possibly amplifiers. Make sure to also check out other online outlets to compare prices to assess if you are actually getting a good deal.
You can head over to the Record Store Day website now to peruse the entire Black Friday records list.
