Vinyl Chapters Team

Jamie Parmenter - Vinyl Chapters Editor

Jamie Parmenter – Editor and Founder

Editor and Founder of Vinyl Chapters. Jamie wanted to find something that could combine his passions for photography, music, and stories – Vinyl Chapters was the perfect solution. He realised his love of vinyl records could bring everything together, and also help unite people through music and album art. Building up the platform to what it is today the website includes vinyl photos and stories as well as music reviews, news, features, and anything else based around music and vinyl.

Michael Sumsion - Contributor

Michael Sumsion – Contributor

A long-standing member of the team, Michael Sumsion brings his passion for music together with a keen eye for finding great, new artists. A jazz-loving English teacher and a vinyl aficionado. Michael has produced some epic work for the website including in-depth reviews and fascinating features. Everyone looks forward to his yearly vinyl compilation and reissue roundups.

Maia Clews

Maia Clews – Contributor

Ever since she was 8 years old, Maia dreamed of being a writer and sharing her words with the world. The daughter of a DJ and a rather eccentric father, music was simply accepted as a part of life and soon grew into a personal love affair. Growing up, she poured over double-page spreads in Kerrang!, NME and the Guardian (and still does to this day!) hoping that one day, her words would also grace the pages of such papers.

Imogen Lawlor

Imogen Lawlor – Contributor

A lover of hip-hop and beyond, Imogen has a keen ear for a strong album and is not afraid to speak her mind. Her writing style allows her to really delve into an album’s underbelly and get to know exactly what the music is all about. A true lover of music and everything that can be unravelled from it.

Zoe Andrea-Lykourgou

Zoë Andrea-Lykourgou – Contributor

Zoe brings that eclectic taste to the team and always likes to discover new music. Willing to cover anything thrown at her, she’s also dabbled in some great interviews for the website. An aspiring broadcast journalist with a degree in Japanese. Also a hobby pianist and singer. One to watch out for!

Matthew Wand - Contributor

Matthew Wand – Contributor

Bass playing lover of vinyl records in all off their wax-laden glory. A generation X kid who has a deep love of 90s rock and beyond. Writes some compelling pieces for the website, discussing some of his favourite music as well as album anniversary pieces that always go down well.

Caillou Pettis

Caillou Pettis – Contributor

Caillou has been an avid music lover ever since his youth. Growing up, music of various different genres has always been a major part of his life and continues to influence who he is as a person on a daily basis. For him, discovering new music is always a delight.

Talia Andrea

Talia Andrea – Contributor

There’s always music playing somewhere in Talia’s home, and there always has been since she was very young—so one day, she decided to start writing about it. It’s probably easier to ask what genres she hasn’t listened to by now; her playlists are about as varied and vibrant as the coloured vinyl she likes to collect.
