Strap in, sit back and click the pics for a listen!
Whoop – Cool
A female-fronted band from North Carolina, Cool by Whoop hits hard from the beginning with its brash guitars, indie-punk sound and catchy attitude. Channeling a kind of screw-you-im-over-it energy, it saunters forward with confidence, verve, and guile, and can only bring a smile to your face. Angsty yet addictive, this band has a bright future ahead of them.
Charm of Finches – Heavy
Melbourne-based sister duo Charm of Finches throw out delightful indie-folk and lush pop on the wonderful new track, Heavy. Beautiful harmonies accompany a piano-based flow with lyrics an expression of the sadness and frustration the sisters feel about the state of the world. The track has a beautifully melodic atmosphere that is dreamy yet poignant, highlighting the hard topics at hand. Delightful.
Elise – Ragdoll
Dublin-based singer-songwriter Elise combines fingerstyle guitar playing with synthy flows, big drums and gentle piano on the track Ragdoll. It’s a wonderful combination that’s all tied together well by vocals that don’t overplay the sound, instead joining with it to make it seem more whole. With inspiration taken from growing up in a small town, the track has a deep and poetic atmosphere that grows into a catchy chorus that will be stuck in your head for days.
HOAX – Goldeneyes
Indie pop-rockers from Queens, New York, HOAX show us what they’re all about with new track, Goldeneyes. Touted as an exploration into our human needs and desires, HOAX convey this through ethereal synths, dreamy guitar flows and on-point vocals. The way they control the track is mesmerising, tailoring the sound perfectly so that it floats onwards in a warm and inviting way. A blissful listen.
