New Music Fridays – 18th March 2022

March 18, 2022 by Jamie Parmenter

Camel Power Club

Welcome to the weekend! What better way to start it than by discovering some awesome new music? Check out the tracks below and let us know what you think in the comments. As always, click the pics for a listen!

Camel Power Club – Eigisyg

Camel Power Club - Eigisyg

French indie-electronic outfit Camel Power Club balance joyful yet nostalgic guitar riffs and a playful atmosphere on new single, Eigsyg. Synthetic sounds then play against a steady rhythm before Spanish guitar plays a cameo to break up the flow. It’s one of those songs you can just sit back and really chill out to. Perfect on a breezy Summer’s day.

Grace Joyner – Lovers Do

Grace Joyner

A melancholy love song with a timeless quality, Grave Joyner’s Lovers Do builds on subtle rhythms as a story of possibilities and experiences is released gently. At times sounding like a mix between First Aid Kit and Lana Del Rey, the track grows into itself to reveal a drum track and bassline that really bring the track alive. Mesmerising.

Mousey – Wait For Me

Mousey

About slowing down and taking the time to walk with people when they’re struggling, Mousey’s Wait For Me is a wonderfully warm and gentle indie-folk song that suits the raw yet powerful vocals. The track dances to its own drumbeat, to-ing and fro-ing between pleasant harmonies and fuzzy guitars that come alive in the chorus but always know when to hold back. Lovely.

CerVon Campbell – kickback

CerVon Campbell

With docile tones and a dreamy atmosphere, kickback by CarVon Campbell builds a soulful sound against settled beats and enticing flows. The track slides along mercilessly, never asking permission to move on to the next idea but happy to do so. The vocals throughout mix well and dance around the beats in an admirable way.
